We have travelled to Bali 3 times, and we stayed in total 6 months there, and we have always tried to find the answer to this question: “What is the ultimate Bali experience?”. And despite our 6 months there, we feel that we still have more to discover. But we have decided to write The Ultimate Guide to 10 days in Bali and we hope you find everything you need to organise, book and do a wonderful trip to Bali.
Our itinerary will take to you from Rai International Airport to several main destinations, going through numerous Ulun Danu (temples). We will discuss accommodations, hotels and even resorts if this is something good for you. Your travel will be easy to prepare and we really think you can have the best time.

Your Itinerary
Arriving in Bali
You will arrive in Bali at Rai International Airport, the international airport. When you arrive you will feel the heat and humidity of Bali. You will very likely see a large number of drivers waiting at the arrival with a panel with the name of someone who has booked a drive with them.
It is easy to find a driver in Bali, to pick you up at the airport or to drive you around for a day. It can be done through your hotel or guest house. They will usually get a commission on the booking, but it is very simple, and usually not expensive. But it is better to know in advance what price you should be accepting, and it is recommended to always negotiate, even with the hotel or guesthouse (hotels may propose fixed prices that cannot be negotiated).
You could also book a drive directly yourself by registering on Bali Facebook groups and asking for a drive. But beware you will likely receive tens of responses.
We advise you not to take a cab from the airport without a prior booking, because you will be paying a high price. So try to pre-book your driver on arrival. It is also a very simple and pleasant situation when someone is waiting for you with a panel with your name on it.
Day 1 Kecak fire dance
The first full day in Bali requires some time to adapt to the temperature. You also are staying in Jimbaran which is part of the busy side of Bali.
