We booked Villa Alice in Seminyak through Villa Finder, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we had on our Bali trip. We stayed in many different hotels in Bali but for our final few days in Bali we wanted a more private yet luxurious stay in a villa. Bali is famous for its beautiful villas but choosing the right one is not always easy. Many villas look lovely in photos but turn out to have issues. What we liked about Villa Finder was the service we got. All villas are vetted properly and throughout the search and stay you have direct communication at all stages. This was really reassuring.
Villa Finder, Your Villa Provider in Bali
First Impressions of Villa Alice
Villa Alice sits in a quieter corner of Seminyak, away from the main strip but still close to everything you might want. Walking through the entrance for the first time, we got that instant exhale moment. Lush tropical garden, spacious with plenty of light and a private pool that looked far too inviting to wait until the next day. The design blends natural wood with clean, modern lines. It feels elegant without trying too hard.

Everything about the space felt intentional. The open-air living area connects directly to the garden and pool, which meant the kids were in and out of the water all day while we could keep an eye on them from the shaded seating area. That kind of layout makes a real difference when you are travelling as a family.
The Bedrooms
The bedrooms were genuinely impressive. Spacious, cool, and thoughtfully furnished with large beds and ensuite bathrooms that had the kind of finishes you would expect from a boutique hotel. The glass doors opened straight onto the garden and pool, so on warm Bali mornings we would slide them open, let the fresh air in, and watch the light move across the water. Simple pleasures, but they add up.

Privacy is something you cannot really put a price on. Having the entire villa to ourselves, without the noise of a hotel corridor or other guests nearby, made every morning feel calmer and more relaxed.
The Pool and Outdoor Living Area
The pool was the heart of our stay. We spent a lot of time there. Mornings with coffee, afternoons in the water, evenings with a drink as the garden lights came on. The outdoor area flows naturally from the living space, making the whole villa feel bigger than it actually is.

Booking Through Villa Finder
We used Villa Finder to find and book the villa, and the process was straightforward from start to finish. The platform is well organised, with clear photos, detailed descriptions, and pricing that is upfront rather than buried in small print. For anyone who has wrestled with confusing rental platforms before, that transparency is genuinely refreshing.
The villa staff arranged through Villa Finder were attentive without being intrusive. Daily housekeeping was thorough, and whenever we needed help with a restaurant recommendation or arranging a driver, someone was always available. The service felt personal rather than mechanical, which is exactly what you hope for in a villa stay.
Our villa included breakfast made by our private chef, which was fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed waking up to fresh juices and a breakfast of our choice. One of the mornings, the staff also organised a floating breakfast, which was a lovely treat.
Included in our stay was also pick-up or drop-off to the airport, which just made everything easy and smooth for us.
Location: Getting the Best of Seminyak
Seminyak manages to feel both lively and liveable at the same time. Villa Alice is positioned well within it. Close to the beach, close to the restaurants and beach clubs, but set back just enough to feel calm. We walked to Seminyak Beach most evenings to catch the sunset, and it never got old. The sky turns extraordinary shades of orange and pink out there.

Petitenget Beach is also nearby. A little quieter, better for longer walks, and less crowded than the main stretches. Both are easy to reach on foot or by a quick scooter ride.
Dining and Nearby Highlights
Seminyak has a genuinely excellent food scene, and we made full use of it. La Lucciola for beachfront dining, Sisterfields for a reliable brunch, and Potato Head Beach Club for a sunset evening that is as much about the atmosphere as the drinks. Ku De Ta is another classic. These places have a reputation for a reason.
The boutique shopping along Seminyak’s main streets is worth an afternoon too, especially if you are after homewares, clothing, or anything handmade. And if you want a spa afternoon, there are good options within a very short walk of the villa.
Our Verdict on Villa Alice and Villa Finder
Villa Alice delivered on everything we hoped for. It works equally well for a couple wanting a quiet escape and for a family that needs space, privacy, and a pool the kids will actually use. The combination of location, quality, and service made it one of the real highlights of our time in Bali.
If you are considering a private villa in Seminyak, we would recommend booking through Villa Finder. The platform made the search and booking process easy, and the villa itself exceeded what the photos suggested. We would stay again without hesitation.
