As Halloween approaches, it’s time to embrace the spooky spirit! This festive season lets us dress up in creative costumes, transform our homes with eerie decorations, carve pumpkins, and enjoy some good-natured scares. Who says Halloween is just for kids? It’s a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to have fun together.
Surrey offers a plethora of Halloween activities to keep everyone entertained during the October half-term (26th to 30th October 2026, with Halloween itself falling on Saturday 31st). To help you plan your spooky adventures, here is a round-up of the best Halloween events in Surrey for 2026. Many of these events are ticketed and tend to sell out quickly, so be sure to check their websites regularly for ticket releases and updates. While events may change, I will do my best to keep this guide current.
Your Guide to the Awesome Halloween Events in Surrey 2026
1. Bocketts Farm – Wizards and Witches Week Halloween Event in Surrey
Address: Young Street, Fetcham, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 9BS
Dates: Wizards and Witches Week runs 24th October to 1st November 2026. Little Pumpkins Week, with mini Halloween activities for younger children, runs 17th to 23rd October.
Cost: Standard prices are Adult £19.50, Child 3-17 £21.50, 2 years £18.50, 1 year £7.50, under 1 free. Event days can be priced slightly higher, and there is a £1 online booking fee.
Enjoy a spooky day at Bocketts Farm. This year’s Wizards and Witches Week brings science and slime shows, a reptile roadshow, a spooky stamp trail and a creepy craft corner, alongside the usual indoor and outdoor play areas and farm animals. Book early on their website to avoid disappointment. This is definitely one of the Halloween events your kids will love.
2. Priory Farm Estate – Halloween Trail and Pumpkin Field Tractor Ride
Address: Sandy Lane, South Nutfield, Redhill, Surrey RH1 4EJ
Dates: Autumn 2026, check the Priory Farm website for exact half-term dates and slots
Cost: Book ahead online. Halloween Trail £9.50 off-peak or £12.50 peak, free for under 2s. Pumpkin Field Tractor Adventure £9.50. Pumpkin Field entry £6.50. On-the-day prices are £0.50 higher.
Halloween is back at Priory Farm’s Discovery Land. The Halloween Trail is set at Brother Hay’s mysterious school, where kids train in the art of harmless Halloween mischief along an immersive spooky trail. Then hop on the tractor to the Pumpkin Field, with playful pranks and surprises on the way and a hay bale maze to explore. At the field you can pick your own pumpkin, take photos and toast marshmallows by the fire pit. A great Halloween day out for kids.
3. Secretts Farm – Pumpkin Picking and Halloween Trail
Address: Hurst Farm, Chapel Lane, Milford, Surrey GU8 5HU
Dates: Weekends from 17th October, then most days through half-term to 30th October. Opening times vary by day, so check the website before you go.
Cost: £8.50 per person, under 2s free. Extras such as tractor rides, magic shows, the haunted house, biscuit decorating, face painting and marshmallow toasting are £3 each.
Follow the spooky scavenger hunt trail to the pumpkin field and pick your own pumpkin. Your ticket also covers entry to the fancy dress competition, so dress to impress. Feeling peckish? Try the sausages, pumpkin soup, pumpkin curry or pumpkin cake. Allow 15 to 20 minutes each way for the walk to the field, wear sturdy footwear, and leave the dog at home as dogs are not permitted.
4. Hampton Court Palace – Ghostly stories and tour
Address: Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9AU
Dates: 24th October to 1st November 2026
Cost: Included with palace admission. Adult £29 to £32 (the higher price applies at peak times such as weekends and holidays), Child 5-15 £14.50 to £16, under 5 free.
Ready for some haunted action and stories? Visit Hampton Court Palace, known to be one of the most haunted palaces. The Halloween programme includes atmospheric projections and sound effects, costumed ghosts roaming the corridors, daily 15-minute storytelling sessions of “The Return of Boo in Wren’s Revenge!” in William III’s apartments, and a Wilderness trail with pumpkins and scarecrows for younger visitors. Expect some darkness, loud noises and the odd jump scare. Costumes are welcome, but no realistic weapons, fake blood, glitter, dragging hems or face masks.

5. Oatlands Park Hotel – Halloween Afternoon Tea

Enjoy a Halloween-themed afternoon tea treat including finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and Halloween-themed cakes. Perfect family treat and get dressed up for the occasion.
6. Chessington World of Adventures – Howl’o’ween, the best theme park Halloween event in Surrey
Address: Leatherhead Rd, Chessington KT9 2NE
Dates: 3rd to 4th October, 10th to 11th October, and every day from 17th October to 1st November 2026
Cost: From £34 per person online, walk-up tickets £66. Short breaks from £74 per person.
Howl’o’ween is Chessington’s Halloween event. Catch Dr Frankenfun’s Haunted House Party, the fire and dance spectacle Rising Flame: Shadows of the Tomb, and the Barnyard Boogie show for little ones. Brave the Stone Watchers: Vampire’s Lair scare zone, and ride selected rides at dusk. The optional Enchanted Hollow: Trick or Treat attraction is extra, from £9 per person. Zoo and SEA LIFE access is included, and World of PAW Patrol has Halloween-costumed characters.
7. The Ghost Tour of Guildford – Spooky Halloween Tour
Address: Meet on Guildford High Street by the steps outside Holy Trinity Church, GU1 3QT
Dates: Every Friday night at 8pm from Good Friday to the end of November, plus 31st October
Cost: £10 adults and £5 under 16s (last published prices, check before booking)
The best way to spend a spooky evening; a ghost tour of course! The tour lasts about 1hr 45m, is recommended for ages 8 and over, and visits around 20 haunted and mysterious sites in Guildford, including the High Street and Castle grounds.
8. Hatchlands Park – Ghost Hunt Family Trail
Address: Hatchlands Park, Guildford GU4 7RT
Dates: 10th October (before half-term)
Hatchlands Park, a stunning National Trust property, is running “We’re going on a Ghost Hunt”, a family-friendly ghost trail. It falls before half-term, so it suits families who want a spooky day out earlier in the month. Check the National Trust website for pricing and booking details.
9. RHS Wisley – Spooky Plants
Address: Wisley Ln, Wisley, Woking GU23 6QB
Dates: October half-term, check the RHS website for the daily schedule
Step into the ghoulish garden and uncover the spooky secrets of plants. Expect a pumpkin trail, craft activities, storytelling and garden demonstrations for the family. Discover the deadliest plants and creepy crawlies.
10. Godstone Farm Halloween Family Event
Address: Tilburstow Hill Road, Godstone RH9 8LX
Dates: 17th October to 1st November
Halloween activities run throughout, including a mystery trail, a scarecrow maize, free face art and crafts, a pumpkin patch with carving (extra cost), marshmallow toasting and a visit from Dinosaur Squeak. On 24th and 25th October there is a Mini Fireworks Festival with low-bang fireworks, perfect for little kids, plus live entertainment and food. The fireworks are pre-book only on the Godstone Farm website.
11. Hobbledown Epsom – Hobbleween

Hobbleween brings spooky trails, monster discos, creepy crawlies and the mischievous Skibblers, plus pumpkins and costume opportunities. Hobbledown has also announced a new pumpkin experience for autumn 2026, so keep an eye on their What’s On page.
